The Yankees Jekyll and Hyde of a season continued in the first game of a doubleheader against the Cardinals on Saturday. The Bombers’ ugly and sloppy 11-4 loss featured poor performance on the field and an even worse one on the mound. After appearing to turn a corner with his strong outing against the Rangers on June 24 — six shutout innings — Luis Severino was destroyed at Bush Stadium as the last-place Cardinals. The right-hander lasted just four innings allowing seven earned runs on nine hits and three walks registering just two strikeouts. Paul Goldschmidt’s three-run homer in the bottom of the third got the party started for the Red Birds as Severino seemed to be unable to find his groove after surrendering the long ball. Nolan Gorman also blasted a 415-foot two-run homer in the fourth. The 29-year-old’s ERA ballooned to 6.30 during the final season on his contract as he’s set to hit free agency this winter. The Bombers’ registered two erro...Crime Briefs: East Boston man who dealt cocaine with mother gets 10 years

(NEXSTAR) – Now is the time to fill up your gas tank ahead of any Fourth of July travel.According to Patrick De Haan, the head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, the national average of July 4 gasoline prices will be $3.49, a discount of more than $1.30 compared with 2022.It’s a welcome change considering last year’s gas prices surged to more than $5 per gallon.“Much of COVID’s revenge travel is behind us, and thus far this summer, demand for gasoline has been softer than last year, helping to ease the pressure on gas prices,” De Haan said in a blog post.As Americans adapt to inflation and rising interest rates across the nation, De Haan said drivers are feeling “a bit more sluggish” about driving during the summer, resulting in lower gas prices. “We may continue to see average prices moderate, especially closer to Labor Day, barring hurricanes or other unexpected refinery outages, with steeper price drops coming after summer. But for now, it’s still not a bad time to get outsi...Minnesota Aurora complete 12-0 season in front of 7K fans at TCO Stadium

BALTIMORE — When Rocco Baldelli wrote Carlos Correa’s name in at the top of the lineup on Friday, the shortstop became the 11th Twin to fill that role this season. That’s the most in Major League Baseball, as the Twins have moved things around trying to find something that would stick. The manager said he had been thinking about moving Correa there for quite some time, and now he seems inclined to move forward with it for the time being.“Before you do something with one of your best players, one of your big guys that they’ve never done before, you don’t just on a whim start doing random stuff with those guys, but I think we reached a pretty good point to just make any sort of bold decision that we’ve been thinking about and that was one of them,” Baldelli said.Baldelli did tell Correa right before he made the move, letting him know that they had some plans to hit him leadoff. He was met by a receptive response from the shortstop.“He asked me. I said, ‘Whatever’s best for the team, I’...Low water pressure for STL residents near Tower Grove Park after storms
