Jamal Murray hamstring injury “not a one- or two-game injury,” Nuggets coach Michael Malone says

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 07:01:56 GMT

Jamal Murray’s right hamstring strain could keep him sidelined for the foreseeable future, Nuggets coach Michael Malone said Monday night before Denver hosted the Pelicans.“We’ll kind of continue to talk to our doctors, but his injury is not a one- or two-game injury,” Malone said. “That’s what I do know. This will be something that will be longer than we would like. … You have to have the big picture in mind and make sure we’re putting him in position to get healthy before he comes back. Because this is an injury that, if you keep having recurring hamstring injuries or soft tissue injuries, they can linger and become even worse. And that’s the one thing we do not want to happen.”Murray sustained the injury Saturday night when the Nuggets hosted the Chicago Bulls. He also dealt with a minor hamstring injury at the end of training camp in early October, but Malone said the new injury was an in-game incident rather than a lin...

The total is just shy of the $30.1 million level housing advocates have said is the minimum necessary to support renters next year.Denver landlords have filed more than 10,800 evictions this year as of the end of October, according to county court officials. Shark activity leads to beach closure in Orange County

Published Sat, 22 Feb 2025 07:01:56 GMT

Officials in Huntington Beach made the call to close a two mile stretch of coastline after beachgoers spotted a whale suffering from what appeared to be bite marks that had washed ashore.  The approximately 400 pound, 7.5 feet long pygmy sperm whale was found at around 3:45 p.m. near Tower 22 in Sunset Beach. The whale, which was still alive, was in clear distress.  When experts from the Pacific Marine Mammal Center, including Dr. Alissa Deming, responded to the area and examined the pygmy whale, one of the bites appeared to be from a shark.  “When we started assessing the animal, it was clear that it had what appeared to be a fresh bite wound potentially from a shark on the side of its face,” Deming told KTLA’s Chip Yost.  That information combined with later reports that people may have seen the shark attack the whale prior to it washing ashore led to the temporary closure of a mile stretch on either side of Sunset Beach.  A 400 pound, 7.5 foot long pygmy whale...
